Anyone know how many were drafted out of the SLC and where they went to school. I saw one kid from Nicholls that was drafted.

The Nichols Kid and Ford(well I guess he technically isn't SLC) were the only ones I saw.

SLC website reports that UCA's Jasper Johnson of PB Dollarway signed a free agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys this evening.

yeah the updated info. is in the link I provided originally.

Man what a great day for UCA Football! Great job for all three of the guys to represent UCA, and themselves on a higher level.

Good luck to each of them, their jobs are now about to begin! :D

Wow this is great news. Looks like the key to being a good football is having a J first name :D I'm so proud of these former teammates of mine, I wish them the best and hope they all make their rosters.

...One area in which the Titans were looking to improve was at defensive end, and they addressed that need by taking Jacob Ford of Central Arkansas. Ford, who began his collegiate career at Memphis, started all 24 games while at Central Arkansas and registered 102 tackles, 17 sacks, 14 QB pressures and 10 forced fumbles in his two seasons with the Bears.

Ford also caught the attention of NFL scouts by running the second-fastest 40-yard dash by a defensive end at the combine. His time of 4.62 was second only to Clemson’s Gaines Adams, the fourth overall pick in the draft. Having grown up in Memphis, Ford is excited to join the team he’s been a fan of since he was a child.

“I’ve followed the Titans ever since they were the Oilers and came to Memphis for a little bit,” he said. “They were playing in the Liberty Bowl, and that stadium is probably less than a mile from where my middle school was. I used to go there and watch games because it was right around the corner from my house.”...

GM MIKE REINFELDT
...(on Jacob Ford being the second fastest defensive end in the draft)

Well I think it gives you some ability to get to the quarterback, and from that spot that’s important. He is a guy that we huddled about, and the coaching staff, and scouts, and we felt good about him and he has a chance, used in the right roles and the right schemes to be a helpful, productive player for us...

not yet, no. But I'm still guessing someone will take a chance on him and sign him to a free agent contract...and it may have already happened and we just don't know it too...

I heard something today by a former player saying that Fairooz got red flaged bc of his collar bone.

Now could someone give some insight on what red flagged means?
