The only new news from this one is that terms were not disclosed.

Bucs release depth chart for preseason opener

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released their depth chart for Friday's preseason opener against the New England Patriots at Raymond James Stadium. The chart is subject to change, but here is how it looked Tuesday morning.

DEFENSE

Left end - Greg Spires, Kevin Carter, Julian Jenkins, Jeremy Pittman.

Not sure that pic number two is him, but it's a guess. The gloves in one and two look the same, yet the gloves in three are totally different...

In what I'm sure has been limited action, Jeremy has 3 tackles in the two preseason games. The team leader has just 6, and first round pick Gaines Adams has 5.

I haven't been able to see any Bucs games yet...

The 6-4, 250 pound Pittman, who was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in August, played collegiate ball at Central Arkansas where he posted 24 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss and one sack in 2006. In 2005, his first season at UCA, Pittman logged 50 tackles, 10 for a loss and 5.5 sacks.

Preds head coach Jay Gruden likes what he has seen so far.

“Pittman is a talented pass rusher who will compete at defensive end.”

The Predators are hosting free agent open tryouts this weekend, Saturday, November 10th, at Thunder Field adjacent to the Florida Citrus Bowl stadium. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Maybe Jay's brother gave a recommendation on Jeremy.

Training Camp Brings Fierce Competition On Defense

Pittman has landed in the AFL with the New Orleans Voodoo.

Would face off against James Paul and the Soul on May 27.
