Any news or updates on Jacob Ford?

Pictures would be nice if you can find some.

Countdown to Game Day!

Don't know if I can wait that long. Maybe we could have a preseason tailgate practice on the first Saturday the Bears practice this summer. Now that I have said that, it doesn't really sound like too stupid an  . Lisa Cooley is game for anything. Maybe we need to talk!

There was chat earlier this spring about UCA football traditions...maybe the Crawfish Boil is something to work on....it could be a part of each pre-game...Bears in the wild surely like crawfish .... someone with some imagination maybe could see how this could be used....

GoBears!!

I'll be thinking of possible tradition extensions. In the meantime....anyone know if Aaron ever got picked up in free agency?

as far as I've heard he has not, according to Coach Conque on Sports Rap with Ray Tucker last night. CC thought that he might end up having surgery, but didn't know yet or not, but that if/when the injury situation was taken care, then Aaron might end up some where. Now things are certainly able to change very quickly, but this was what I had heard last night.

Injuries and absences: Defensive end Jacob Ford (flu) did not practice.

Interest in Rice: The Titans are interested in veteran defensive end Simeon Rice, who was released by the Buccaneers on Thursday.

The 12th-year pro was due a $7.25 million salary this season and is coming off a shoulder injury. He finished last season on injured reserve and failed a physical with the Bucs.

"We contacted his agent and we'd like to bring him in for a physical,'' Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said. "He has been an impact player for a while. … We'd like to know first-hand exactly what his condition is.''

Rice, 33, has 121 career sacks, which ranks second among active players behind Michael Strahan.
