I heard in early May about the Broncos waiving Landon Trusty.

Searched several NFL sites, but found no mention of him.

Has anyone heard anything ?

I suspect that since he tore up a knee that his career is over.

Just curious.

NEW NEWS ON LANDON!
Short Shots

Former practice squad tight end Landon Trusty, cut and re-signed seemingly umpteen times in 2004 and early in the 2005 off-season, is back again. Sort of. Trusty worked out for the Cowboys earlier this week, along with two-year veteran Adam Bergen, whom the Cowboys signed. But Trusty still was here during Friday's mini-camp, though only continuing to rehab the ACL he tore last year at this time (OTA practice) in Denver . . .

From the DALLAS COWBOYS website.

I hate to sound like Anit-Trusty (because I have followed his career since he left)....but...there is an article on Cowboys.com that tells about the cowboys needing depth at Tight End...if the cowboys are desperate enough to get an injured TE from Denver who hasn't played a down in the regular season of the NFL...how desperate are they?? Maybe some of you cowboys fans could explain that one? Excuse my ignorance.. 8)

I do wish him luck in getting on the boys squad! Don't misinterpret this post please!

I believe they also need dedicated athletes that can quickly learn the opposing teams offense/defense every week so the scout team can give the 1st team as much preparation as possible.

Calcagni is also excited about former Central Arkansas star Landon Trusty, whom he recruited as a quarterback out of Hot Springs Lakeside while an assistant at Tulsa. The 6-7 Trusty spent a short time in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers.

Trusty, Calcagni said, can be split wide along with playing tight end and might see some long-snapping work.

“Outstanding athlete,” Calcagni said. “He’s a big guy with the wingspan of a crane. He could be an every-down player.” All nonprotected players will be eligible for Saturday’s draft, after which each team will go to camp with 60-man rosters. Those rosters will be cut down to 42 with a four-man taxi squad for the start of the regular season in April.
