Dyer sets bar as a winner at two schools

Don Dyer was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1992 along with Lorietta Blann, Preston Carpenter, Tom Gulley and Dan Hampton.
A Clarendon native, Dyer graduated from Henderson State in 1955 where he participated in football, basketball and track. Although he later gained fame as a basketball coach, he may have been a better player in football. He was twice named All-AIC and was team captain as a senior.
