Clell Burnett first in line of a family of sports stars

(EDITOR'S NOTE: This is another in a series by Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame director David Grimes about inductees into the hall with Faulkner County connections):
Clell Burnett was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1995 along with Lou Brock, Chuck Dicus, Billy Ray Smith, Jr., and Hendrix legends Bill Dunaway and Bob Courtway.
Burnett was one of the earliest star athletes at Arkansas State Teachers College, now the University of Central Arkansas. But he almost never made it there...
