Tiner's legacy embedded in UCA football

Bobby Tiner was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1990 along with Bennie Ellender, Henry Moore, Leota Barham, Lowell "Hoss" Manning and Hubert "Geese" Ausbie.
A multi-sport star out of Morrilton, Tiner enrolled at Arkansas State Teachers College, now UCA. He left the school as one of the all-time great athletes in Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference history. Tiner was a dual-threat quarterback who could both run and pass. Playing for Bears' head coach Frank Koon, Tiner made first-team All-AIC as a freshman in 1963, but missed the following season...
