'Rabbit' Burnett had charmed coaching career

Raymond "Rabbit" Burnett was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 1974 along with Jack Robbins, Goose Tatum and Hendrix standout John R. Thompson.
Born in Newhope in 1914, Burnett was a football and basketball star at Atkins High School in the late 1920s. He originally played at University of Central Arkansas' archrival Arkansas Tech, where he was All-AIC in football in 1935...
