After starting out with the Class A Yakima Bears, Davis got sent down to Rookie League Missoula Osprey. Chris went 0-for-10 with 4 walks and a strikeout for Yakima. He was one of 4 catchers on the roster, so this is probably better for him. He struck out in his first at bat with the Osprey.

Chris already has more hits in Missoula than he did at Yakima.

He's 2-for-7 in three games since the move. Unfortunately for him, the new team is just 4-16 this season.

Missoula catcher Chris Davis was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Alberto Diaz was the only other Osprey player to have multiple hits.

Last night's game raised his average to .308.

It looks like Chris is starting the season in Class A with the South Bend Silver Hawks.

I talked to Chris the other night and he said that A ball is so much different than rookie ball. He said it's been much easier to get into a groove throughout spring training and the first part of the season!

Chris is hitless in his last 7 games, dropping his average all the way down to .131. In that span, he's 0-for-25.

Chris is hitting .300 (9-for-30) in his last 10 games.
Even with a good stretch, he's still just hitting .174 on the season.

Chris is still hitting just .174, but he was called up to the AA Mobile BayBears to replace Sean Couglin who was put on the DL.
