A Tight Bond

Quote:
Side by side, Richard Quinn and Marquez Branson conversed with one another as they walked off the practice field on Wednesday.

Since their first rookie minicamp together in early May, the tight end duo has been virtually inseparable at Dove Valley -- and anywhere else in the city for that matter.

"We're pretty tight," Quinn said. "We hang out all the time -- outside football as well -- so we're pretty close."

Video with a short comment from Marquez

I didn't catch any video of him from practice...
Rookie practice is over, and two-a-days start today at Broncos training camp.

Injuries.

Rookie tight end Marquez Branson and defensive lineman J'Vonne Parker each left Thursday night's scrimmage with what appeared to be left knee injuries.

Marquez made the cut today! The broncos cut a veteran instead. Still not safe though...

Yeah, but I think the cut you're referring to is Jeb Putzier (spelling?).
That happened before the article I quoted above. Hopefully if he's the one cut he'll get a practice squad spot and continue to develop.

Yeah! I'm glad that this NFL team sees an NFL prototype TE and actually uses him!

FWIW, looks like practice squad players are making $5,200 per week. That ain't chicken feed even if it is for only 4-5 months.

That's all! Wow! Branson would be better off in the Arena League making $250 a week!
