Late at night I was watching some NFL Combine and saw Bernard Scott running his 40 yard dash...one of the commentators (Mayock?) mentioned that he ALLEGEDLY physically attacked one of his coaches while at UCA??

anyone know....did that really happen??
I had not heard that story. I thought he was an academic casualty of the move from D-2 to D-1.

After that happened, ACU still accpeted him as a transfer??

And, he won the Harlon Hill trophy this year.

Wow....unfreakingbelievable.

That's Conque's story. Scott denies it.

Scott was suspended from football his entire Sr. year in HS.

4 different universities and at least 5 more arrests since then.

Who do you believe?

His leaving was before the move to D-I (he is 25 years old I think).

He had a stop or two (won JC Nat'l championship at Blinn College) before Chris Thompson (who knew him from UCA days I believe) talked him into going to ACU. Took a shot, paid off. Maybe he matured after leaving UCA.

ACU had a receiver at the combine also.

There was a lot of discussion on draft day by the "analysts" about the decision.

Hopefully it'll work out for him. He's athletically gifted. Maybe someone around him can keep him straight once he gets all that money.

There's no questioning his ability. And he made it this far, so hopefully he's turning around. I was just commenting on the fact that Cincy signed him, what with the Bengals' rep for being a thug team, and all.

Yep. They're starting to make the old Oakland Raiders look like a bunch of pussycats.

Scott is now the Bengals' kick returner and backup running back. He just had a really nice run.

Two former teammates of mine in the NFL now in Ford and Scott, awesome. I'm happy for them.
