Undoubtably we didn't ask him as someone suggested we do.

A little info about Pennell and UCA. Coach Pennell was at one point in time contacted by UCA about a head coaching job back before Coach Charles Hervey was hired. Apparently, we didn't have the money for him back then, so we probably don't have the money for him now either.
Just a little UCA history for you all today.

You gotta remember HB, unlike you, most of us young 'uns weren't around when Custer made his stand.

So you're saying we can't pay him what Grand Canyon is paying him? How much are they paying him?

Russ no longer wanted to be an assistant, he would rather have less pay and be the decision maker. If our job would have been open, russ would have much rather been the coach here than at Grand Canyon. I am good friends with both his father and him, they would love to be in AR. However, Brad Teague makes the decisions about athletic positions and it is obvious he is giving RC every opportunity to get things done.

Rough start for 1st year head coach Russ Pennell's Grand Canyon squad. The Antelopes are 3-8 so far.

We had to settle for this.

Darn.

It doesn't have a fancy name like "Pennell Intensity Project" ... but I guess we could just call it "Our Coach Is More Badass Than Yours".

is it just me or does Pennell look like a shorter, chubbier, poorer Calipari?
