Just talked to Aaron. He just signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian football league. Will be playing with the all time leading receiver in NCAA history for TDs David Ball. He says he's finally healed and ready to play! It's not up on their site as of this posting, but it's final. Here's the Tiger-Cats homepage:

Good for Aaron. I hope he gets a chance and he really is healthy. I think everyone that's seen him play when he's healthy will agree that he's a big time receiver.

Heard on the Buzz awhile ago that AF joined the Twisters yesterday. Said he would be playing Sat. night. Also said James Paul picked up a fumble on a kick return and ran it in for six in their last game. Busted up his nose by headbutting some of his teammates afterwards.

Wow! Talk about a turn of events! First he quits football, and hates Arkansas, then he plays for an Arkansas football team! :?:

Great game tonight for Aaron!!! He was named the player of the game, best catch of the game, and offensive player of the game.....He made the game winning catch as well!! UCA now had 3 players on the Twisters roster (Fairooz, Kinard, Ahmad Brown)

Fairooz looked good tonight. He looked a bit thinner, but he can still catch a football. His skills seem to be custom made for that small field in arena ball. I suggest you catch a Twisters game and check him out. It's a show, for sure.

Fairooz get award!

RUSSELL ATHLETIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Quote:
Fairooz (6-6, 218, Central Arkansas) had an impressive af2 debut with Arkansas in Week 13 to help the Twisters earn a one-point home win against Amarillo, 63-62. The rookie from Central Arkansas turned in one of the top performances of the week with 14 catches for 169 yards and five TDs, including a 23-yard score with 19 seconds remaining in the game that gave the Twisters the lead for good. Fairooz’ fantastic first outing gives the Twisters hope they may have found a suitable replacement for Rod Harper, another well-regarded rookie who was leading the af2 in scoring and receiving before earning a recent NFL contract with the New Orleans Saints. With the win, the Twisters improved to 8-4 overall and continue to maintain their lead in the Southwest Division.

AF had four touchdown receptions in a 57-27 win for the Twisters. Ware had a 58 yard missed field goal return for a touchdown. Kicker for the Twisters missed two extra points.
