according to the ARDemGaz he signed a contract to play with Winnipeg in the CFL for the upcoming season

I've wondered what took so long for someone in Canada to take a shot with Jasper. His size alone is worth it. Maybe he was always a step slow or something?

Jasper led the Bombers with 9 tackles in last night's preseason game.
It's the last game before the season starts. It looks like his chances are very good to stick around.

(I asked on the bombers message board to determine which J. Johnson was Jasper.)

Haven't heard anything about Jasper after he turned down the practice squad spot last year. But the Bomber fans haven't forgotten about him.
