RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Harding senior kicker Eddy Carmona has been named the first-ever Great American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his record-breaking performance in a 63-14 win over Southern Arkansas this past Saturday in Magnolia.

With the help of his team and its school-record 515 rushing yards, Carmona also captured a new school record with nine extra points in the win on nine attempts. The Charleston, Ark. native also placed four punts inside the SAU 20-yard line and tallied a successful on-side kick attempt in the first quarter, which led to an early 14-0 lead for the Bisons.

Eddy did it again this past weekend in an OT loss at ECO. He had a 73 yard punt, and made a 62 yard FG right before halftime!

Awesome video...Eddie probably made himself a little money with that
performance. Too bad if he does go pro that he will be known as the guy
from Harding University and not UCA. Just a question...if the video says
Eddie Carmona/Harding University, why is his pro day at UCA? The scouts
can't find Searcy? Just wondering...I know CC was probably just giving him
an opportunity since he did give us two very good years. Hope everything works
out for Eddie.

I don't think that every school has a Pro day. Harding probably didn't have one, so CC let him come over to UCA's.

Yep...I am happy for Eddie. Just a shame he couldn't finish his career at UCA.

Carmona started his collegiate career playing at First Security Field(UCA) and finished at First Security Stadium(Harding).
