The Jenny Parsons era started a little shaky going 0-3 to start with a couple really close games. Huge win though tonight over #14 LSU! UCA has some serious pitching with the top two. Going to be a really fun team to watch this year!

Record after Baton Rouge only 1-4 BUT the win over LSU Sat and the 2-1 loss today to the Tigers is pretty strong....now to build on at StarkVegas next weekend vs Hail State (games), Southern Illinois and Georgia Tech...

M-State is 1-3 with a split with Loyola Marymount and two understandable bad shutout losses to softball powers OU and UCLA....

SIU is 2-2 with close losses to Troy and big wins over College of Charleston and Purdue/Ft Wayne...

GT is 4-0 with home tourney wins over Villanova and Saint Josephs's....be nice to open in StarkVegas by spoiling the Techsters perfect record....

Great start with first game of the tourney n coming from behind to win the first ever softball game over Georgia Tech by 7-4....first loss of the season for GT...

Hosts Bulldogs not very hospitable in UCA's 2nd game with a 11-3 whipping....

UCA gets rematch with MS State at 3pm Sat then wrapup with a 5:30 game vs another first ever opponent Southern Illinois....

Hard to keep up with all the ball games right now......Softball Bears off to a solid start after a rough start at LSU Tourney although getting a win over Tigers.........3 wins over P-5 (LSU, MS State, Ga Tech) programs is solid for sure.....11-7 for now....

I've always wondered why teams that win their early games only get ONE semifinal game yet the teams in the earlier games get TWO. I know it's the elimination bracket early but they get to lose one and still are alive in the semis. Would only be fair to do double elim throughout.

But Bear proud of this team!

Great season at 37-21..some very good wins (eg, #14 LSU) and very close solid losses....3rd in ASUN.....semi-finals of the national invitational...then 6th in D1 for team GPA!! Go Softball!!
