Very good game tonight! The Bears really played hard especially trying to come back from 7 runs down. Final score was 8-6. Courtney Brock, Mady Lombard, and Ashlee Genseal had great games for the Bears! I believe the Bears had 13 hits tonight!

Double-header is slated for tomorrow at noon I believe

What an effort from the Bears today coming back from seven runs down. They really made it interesting in the final inning. I am proud of their effort of coming back. Hopefully this will build confidence for not only tomorrow but the rest of the season. Yes tomorrow's doubleheader starts at noon. The high will be around the mid-60s. So come on out and watch the Bears beat the Bobcats! Thanks everyone. GO BEARS!!!!

. I can't say anything, but just to say that we play Ole Miss on Tuesday (just like baseball) at 5. We host UTSA on Friday at 5 and 7 and Saturday at 12.

I'm assuming most of us are holding our tongues on the situation until our new coach is found. Lord knows what has happened so far has not been pretty. 8-[

Injuries, young team, playing more talented teams and with an interim coach who has other responsibilities. Just give it time.

There's been about 5 games that the Bears had a good chance of winning. I think the old cliche is true, they just don't know how to win.

Pitching and defense (especially in the outfield) hasn't been great. The times we do get pitching, the offense seems to disappear.

Texas State has the best pitching in the league, so it wasn't too surprising about the two shutouts. They were getting votes in the top 25 earlier in the season. UCA did show some heart in Saturday's coming back from a big deficit.

UTSA is full of big boppers. Majority of their lineup are built like Charles Twilley.

There have been some bright spots. Freshman Courtney Brock is swinging the bat pretty well after struggling early. Plus she has a cannon for an arm in the outfield (she'll most likely be moved to shortstop next season after Janae Owens graduates). Sophomore Keatha Tollett has been pretty consistent at the plate and plays good defense at third.

Sarah Garcia will be coming back soon from her broken hand. She covers a ton of ground in center and is a vocal leader. She had a fantastic fall season and early spring before she broke her hand leading off the first game of the year. Hopefully she can get her swing back soon.

Just be patient. They've been through a tough stretch in changing coaches, plus the schedule is pretty brutal.

Softball Bears just need to keep working and playing hard....lots of examples of how persistecet pays off...look at UGA in last weekend's SEC tourney and Coppin State's 180 turn around to make tourney.....nobody thought they could do it but them...that's all that really counts....
