ANY IDEA WHAT THE PLANS ARE FOR HIRING A NEW SOFTBALL COACH FOR NEXT YEAR? IS THERE ANY THOUGHTS ON PROMOTING THE CURRENT ASSISTANT? WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR UCA SOFTBALL?

Not a clue but anxious to hear what Brad is going to do...too much softball talent in this part of US not to have a fine team at UCA.....

The softball team is down-right embarassing.

It'd be nice to bring in a head coach with an actual winning record from wherever he/she is now.

But I'd be totally fine with bringing in an assistant with the same type of passion to improve the program like Coach Daniel seems to have.

Like the others have said though, the program can really only go up from here. It was a struggling program in D2, and the move up has certainly made it much more difficult to build on.

What about a top high school coach? I mean someone along the lines of what Billy Bock was at Texarkana and Pine Bluff in baseball.....not just another HS coach with a good record.....

How about the softball facilities? Any critical upgrades needed? Top-notch coaches expect top-notch facilities.

I've never seen another SLC softball field, so it's difficult for me to make any critique. But I'd guess that most high school have similar...

Yea no offense to our program, but we do look like we have a high school softball field. I mean I think Conway High's set-up is better than what we have. I have to agree the only way we get a top notch coach is if we get a facilty upgrade.

Here is a link to Sam Houston St. softball complex..I was up there last week and was told they just redid theirs. It was SUPER nice.

Do you believe they will consider any of the assistants as the next head coach or is it time to go get someone brand new? Is Matt Prysock even part of the staff any longer? I don't believe he is on the staff page...

It will be an external search because Brad did not name one of the current assistants as the interim head coach.

There is only one assistant, and she was hired after coach Shock was named interim.

Any idea what they pay the coaches on staff? Is it comparable to other programs in the conference? Just wondering if they can get someone credible enough to turn this around...
