Men's soccer opens new stadium on Friday
As the Bears men's soccer team approaches their first game in the new stadium, their optimism is evident and their excitement is high.
On Friday at 5 p.m., the Bears will face the Eastern Illinois Panthers in the first game on the new NCAA soccer field at Farris Field. The game will be the first home game of the season.

Last year the Bears faced the Panthers and lost with a disappointing 0-5 score. Many players will admit that is was a bad game. Last year's loss, however, has only encouraged the players to work even harder.

The men dropped their home opener against Eastern Illinois, 1-0. They fall to 2-2 on the season. Much better showing than their 0-5 L last season.

I just saw in the write-up that it was 0-0 until EIU knocked one in with 2 seconds left in regulation.
