That was a good story on the main page about the 2004 soccer season. I expect UCA to again this year to have on outstanding season. If DSU doesn't lose by 8 goals this year then thats progress for DSU. Good luck UCA in your quest for the title. I'll be rootin' for ya.

Man the chick in the pic is Brittany Jackson, and she use to play basketball for the University of Tennessee! Umm as far as who the hottest is, that is a good question, I was not able to catch to many girls soccer games this season!

Well in looking at the Southland Conference I figure the Lady Bears will have a good conference to go to. Lots of strong womens soccer teams there. It won't be a piece of cake for the Lady Bears. But now where will the Mens team go? Where will they join? Will they go independent or something? Someone enlighten me.

Well word on the streets, is that as of right now they are trying to get them in to a conference such as the sun belt or something of that nature. If that doesn't fall through then they will go independent. But my question is, if they go independent are they going to be able to play for any type of championship?

well my assumption would be that if they are independent they will not be eligible to win any conference championships. They would, upon completing the transition phase of the D-I move, be eligible to compete for a national championship.

It's kind of like Notre Dame football, only with fewer fans and a slightly slimmer coach.

If only men's soccer could get an NBC deal thru 2010!

Awesome start for the Bears this season.

That's a very high scoring game though for both teams.

Good for them, spring the upset in Game 1 of the season.

Now everyone don't forget IF you are in Conway and want to see some good soccer action:

The Bears host St. Edward’s University at noon Sunday at Farris Field. The UCA women follow at 2:30 against Drury University.

UCA jumped out to an early 3-0 lead but let it slip away. The Bears hung on from there and got the overtime winner from Dan Foerester on questionable call, just ask the UIW coach about it. He argued with the ref and then Flanders for about ten minutes after the game.
