CONWAY, Ark _ The University of Central Arkansas men’s golf team had five student-athletes honored by the Southland Conference on Monday, including first-team All-Southland Conference selection Gideon Pienaar.

Pienaar, a junior from Pongola, South Africa, was joined by teammates Steven Lecuyer on the second team, Antonio Costa and Josh Sims on the third team and Jad Sinclair as an honorable mention. UCA was the only school to have five players honored. Conference champion Southeastern Louisiana had four, as did UT Arlington.
