McNeese at UCA Softball, 5/8-9/10

UCA (25-30/13-15) and MSU (33-25/16-13) split DH on Sat....UCA wins first by b1-0 then drops finale by 5-3....

Hoping for a UCA win on Mother's Day.....

Cowgirls squeak by 3-2 to end UCA season. Softball Bears ended season at 25-31/13-16. The last month of the season UCA went 11-7 including 9-6 in SLC play and a 3-0 sweep of SLC co-champ SFA. .

For 2009, UCA was 24-31 and 14-15 in SLC play. They seem to have moved solidly into the bubble spot for the SLC touney and a few more SLC wins next year will get them there.

Congrats to the ladies for a strong finish and special thanks to the seniors.

Anyone know how it would have worked this year?
UCA and Sam Houston are both 13-16 and played/lost one fewer game than NWState.
UCA won the series @ Sam.

Does that mean the Bears would have made it in? Is there some other tiebreaker before head-to-head?

Neither one would have made it. Only 6 teams go. UCA tied for 8th.

I was thinking that it was an 8-team tournament. Guess I should have looked that up.
