3rd consecutive win for Bears with OT win over a vastly improved UAPB team!

Of note, 13 goals scored this year by 12 different players, including 6 goals by 5 freshmen.

Other than the bad outing vs UALR, this team has played well and should be competitive in conference play.

FOERSTER NAMED SOUTHLAND PLAYER OF WEEK

Central Arkansas' Julie Foerster has been named the Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Foerster, a junior defender from Little Rock, scored the Bears' game-winning goal in Sunday's victory over Northwestern State – the first Southland win for UCA this season – on a free kick from 35 yards out. It was one of only three shots taken by the Bears and the team's only shot on goal. She played the entire 90 minutes and helped lead the UCA defense to its fifth shutout of the season and first in league play.

Julie has scored in 3 consecutive games! Nice defense!

The ladies are in position to be the 1st UCA team to advance to Division 1 post-season.

They are in 6th place and play 1st place SELa on Friday and last place Nicholls State on Sunday. NW is in 8th just 1 point back and plays the same two teams this weekend.

4 teams still have shot at the last post season spot.

7th Lamar and 9th McNeese play on Friday and the loser is eliminated and the winner still needs help.

If UCA wins 1, Lamar and McNeese are eliminated and NW needs to win 2.
If NW wins 2, UCA must also win 2.
If NW gets a Win and a tie or worse, UCA needs only 1 win.

It will come down to Sunday on all seedings for the Southland tournament.
