Women's Soccer 2010 Thread

The women opened up with their lone exhibition game against Lyon yesterday and won 2-0.
The regular season begins Friday in Monroe as they face ULM. Good luck ladies!

Lost at ULM on Friday 8/20 in a game in which they held the upper hand, getting 6 shots on frame, excluding one off of the the crossbar, to 3 by ULM. Unfortunately, the keeper dropped an easy shot (one of the three) and the rebound (another of the three) was put in leading to a 1-0 loss. Other than that, ULM had one shot on goal.

The Bears will be improved this year.

Thanks for the quick recap. Your description reminds me a little of the Robert Green fiasco - on a much smaller scale of course. Hope you're right about the improvement.

I enjoyed watching the ladies play Friday and agree with IchthusAg that they are improved. It was unfortunate that ULM scored but that is soccer. Wishing the ladies good luck against Alcorn this week.

I was able to briefly talk to a couple of the freshman today at the welcome lunch. There's a BUNCH of them.

I was just there volunteering. Minding my own business.

I am hoping for real improvement from that team though. Hopefully those 12 or so can help.

Just spoke with my dd. She said it should have been much more lopsided. Lots of shots right to keeper or not on frame.

I believe every girl that traveled saw time on the pitch today.

1-1 with UALR up on Wednesday.
