UCA, which won the Tennessee Martin Skyhawk Classic last week and at Kansas State prior to that, took the Bill Ross title again with a three-round total of 876, 10 strokes better than Kansas. UCA shot rounds of 295-292-289. The closing 289 was the low round among the 14-team field.
Following Kansas was host UMKC (888), Northern Iowa (892), Missouri State (894), Creighton (899), South Dakota State and North Dakota State (908), Nebraska (909), Bradley (911), Oral Roberts (927), Drake (928), North Dakota (931) and South Dakota (955).Individually, UCA placed three players in the Top 10. Gideon Pienaar shot 78-72-69_219 and
tied for fifth with junior teammate Antonio Costa (74-71-74_219). Pienaar's third-round 69 tied for low round of the tournament. Senior Steven Lecuyer shot 71-74-75_220 and tied for eighth, while senior Andrew Hopkins tied for 13th at 74-75-73_222. Senior Jad Sinclair shot 76-78-73_227 for a tie for 28th place.
