Congratulations to all the people involved that made last night's event a huge success. The alumni association was able to announce last night that the Alumni 100 program to date has received over $113,000 in donations towards this scholarship program for UCA students. All alumni scholarships have now been endowed because of this program. The fundraising will run through homecoming of this year.

Dr. Denver Prince, Karen Sullards, and Rush Harding were important contributors in making this event a memorable one. Also, a big thanks to Liberty Mutual, Aramark, and the UCA SGA for their sponsorship contributions of generosity.

How was attendance and the entertainment?

Great to see UCA start events like this. Wish I could have been there.

How much raised?

There were just a little over 500 in attendance. Lee Greenwood was the vocal entertainment and some guy whose name I forgot provided the comic relief. I might add he was hilarious.

So far $113,000 has been donated. As stated above, the fundraising runs through homecoming so it's not too late to make a donation to these students who deserve this financial help. You can contact the alumni office, 501-450-3130, to make a donation. Every penny donated will go towards scholarships. The cost of the event was covered by several gracious individual and corporate donors.

I'd have to say that for a first time event it was a huge success and many people in attendance agreed. The SGA representatives in attendance were very impressed with the event. That's saying something right there.

Excellent attendance......I know several who were going that two years ago were not very involved.....need to build on this......gifts follow the heart...

I really like what is going on at UCA today. Keep up the great work on all fronts.
