Day 1

UCA off to a slow start but this was combined events, 10k run and weights only .....Tray Carter took 7th in the Men's Javelin at 56.78m...Jasmine Ellis was 5th after Day 1 in Women's Heptathlon that ends Sat and Megan Snow was 8th....both in good shape to place and move up....

Men's Team: McNeese 49, UTSA 16 and Lamar 15
Women's Team: SFA 20, NWS/TSU tied at 16

Jasmine Ellis takes 4th in the Women's Hep and Megan Snow finishes 6th..... very good work.

Bobby Washington and James Anderson take 4th and 6th in Men's High Jump. Washington leaps 6' 10.75". Nicej ob by both.

Courtney Efurd qualified for W1500m finals with 4:48 time ( about 4:55 for mile).

Jean Black, Jasmine Ellis and Anilah Bashir all qualfied for finals in W10m hurdles.

Sage Raphael makes it to M400m finals with 3rd best time.

Tanesha Maxwell moves into W100m and W200m finals .

Demarcus Harrison makes fnals of M400m hurdles.

Not the team result they wanted but still some very good marks set. Several school records, lots of Top 5 bests and PRs....just need more depth doing this.
