The Bearkats are coming to Conway on November 15th. First appearance by a Bearkat squad to Conway that we're aware of yet. Sure the volleyball team will be up there before then unless the new schedule format has the Sugar Bears coming to Huntsville for a one-way deal.

Very excited to start a nice SLC rivalry with all you Bear fans!

Saw you guys posted your schedule as well. You guys will love playing those two SWAC schools (TxSo and PVA&M). Not as sure on Ark-PB. Sam, even in our first year put up 20 on TxSo. UTSA is new to WSoccer by the way.

speaking of soccer....anyone at all have any news on what the men's program will be up to now? A few weeks ago when the whole scheduling classes early thing came out a few of the men's players were talking about trying to build their upcoming classes around their road trips for the upcoming season? Sounding as if they will at least have some type of season.

Does anyone know if the SLC Commish and others have helped them out at all placing them in any conference, or will they just be the wandering Bear nomads playing anywhere and everywhere to keep the program at least alive?

You have the SoCon and Missouri Valley Conference as the two nearest conferences that make sense for UCA mens soccer.

A third conference which would be a good fit is the MidCon. They have Centenary in Shreveport and Oral Roberts in Tulsa, which would not be too long a drive. Other members are Oakland (Michigan), Western Illinois, Valpo, UMKC and IUPUI. I'm sure they'd take on an affiliate member.

Hey TT, didn't the SLC announce or tell UCA they would help us place our soccer teams? Do you have any knowledge to whether or not they are actually doing that or not? I am wondering if they are in fact doing that or at least helping them schedule games.

all the other questions were for people in and around UCA....

Not sure the SLC ever said they would help place your soccer team. Not sure how'd that exactly work since the SLC has not ever sponsored mens' soccer nor has any team ever had mens' soccer. I guess the SLC could put in a call on behalf of UCA to see if another conference would take them in...

Same goes for scheduling. Not sure how SLC would have involvement in that aspect either since we don't do mens' soccer. Every other sport, I can definitely see that, but mens' soccer? No clue...
