bill stephens track useable by public?

I read on-line that its for public use, but when I got there I noticed the signs that say only for UCA athletes. I was wondering how strict this is and/or if its possible to run on the track without being a student.

That's a good question. I don't see any harm in you running on it... As long as you aren't running in cleats or something. The worst that would happen is they ask you to leave.

Thanks for the response. Thats kinda what I was thinking, didn't notice any reason why I wouldn't be able to besides the obvious, being if it was in use for something. Wasn't sure if there were campus police that watched it or not, and if id get a ticket if I parked there.

I know the track is reserved for athletics use during their practice times.....if gates are open tracks are usually fine to use for jogging, etc...should not wear any spikes (special spikes are used on these type surfaces) and avoid first three lanes......no bicycles and the like....
