The Sugar Bears turned in a dominant performance on the day, dropping just a single set en route to a
7-0 sweep of the Redhawks.
Central Arkansas (1-1) rolled through the doubles competition, with QiLi Ma and Rada Manataweewat taking down Anais Emelie and Maja Lundell 6-3 in the number three match and Pornpawee Pramethong and Marli Van Heerden defeating Isabella Krupa and Kseniya Zonova 6-4 in the number one match to lock up the doubles point. Xylia Chunan Xiang and Amiru Shimoguchi closed out the doubles portion of the match with a 6-4 victory over Oleksandra Doroshenko and Alessandra Maya Thompson in the number three match.
The Sugar Bears continued to control the match in the singles portion, as Xiang earned a 6-1, 6-2 win over Krupa in the number two match and Shimoguchi took down Kelly Sicha 6-1, 6-2 in the number four contest. Hee-Jin Oh picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win in her number three match against Zonova and Pramethong secured the UCA victory with a 6-3, 7-6 (5) win against Doroshenko in the number one match. Van Heerden picked up her second win of the season with a 6-3, 6-4 win versus Emelie, before Manataweewat made it a clean sweep for UCA with a 6-1, 5-7, 10-8 win against Maya Thompson in the number six match.
Central Arkansas hits the road for a pair of matches in Jonesboro, Arkansas next weekend, taking on Arkansas State at 9:00 AM on Saturday and facing off with UMKC at 2:00 PM on Sunday.

The Sugar Bears would take the loss on the day, falling to the Tigers 6-1. Central Arkansas (0-1) was unable to get anything going in doubles play, with Mizzou (2-0) sweeping all three matches for a 1-0 lead. Amiru Shimoguchi and Xylia Chunan Xiang dropped the number two match 2-6 to Amina Ismail and Taylor Gruber, before QiLi Ma and Rada Manataweewat dropped a 3-6 decision to Ellie Wright and Mackenzie Middlebrooks in the number three match. Pornpawee Pramethong and Marli Van Heerden fell in the number one tilt by a tally of 2-6 to Serena Nash and Clare Raley.
The Tigers continued to control the match early in the singles portion, as Shimoguchi lost the number four match 2-6, 1-6 6 to Ismail and Pramethong fell to Nash 2-6, 5-7 in the number one match. Hee-Jin Oh was taken out by Middlebrooks 3-6, 1-6 in the number three match, and Xiang dropped a hard-fought 1-6, 6-2, 2-6 decision to Wright in the number two match, before Van Heerden got the Sugar Bears on the board with a 1-6, 6-1, (10-7) win over Raley in the number five match. Manatwaweewat would fall to Gruber 4-6, 2-6 in the number six match to close out the day.
Central Arkansas returns to action tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM, taking on Southeast Missouri State.
