They're our in-state rival for soccer - according to me.
I think it's a perfect rivalry for us because we should win 99% of the games.

The real questions are, When did UAPB start playing soccer? and Why?
They can't enjoy getting beat like that.

This game could have been so much worse for UAPB. Apparently they have a halfway decent keeper.

Shots by period 1 2 Tot
-------------------------------
Arkansas-Pine Bluff. 0 3 - 3
Central Arkansas.... 30 16 - 46

Saves by period 1 2 Tot
-------------------------------
Arkansas-Pine Bluff. 9 6 - 15
Central Arkansas.... 0 2 - 2

12 to zip in Soccer is like 195 to zip in Football right?

That's probably pretty close.
Let's try and do some math.

I'd say a "high-scoring" soccer game is probably 4. You'd think that if you scored 4 times, you're likely to win most games.

A high-scoring football game is (depending on the team of course) 50 or so.

12 / 4 = 3
50 * 3 = 150

No matter how you look at it, it's thorough domination.

Found this...

"Four of the top eight NCAA Division I goalkeepers in saves per game played in the SWAC in 2005."

I wonder why?!? The SWAC loses by leaps and bounds. SHSU beat TxSo 23-2 two years ago. It's not uncommon to see scores of double-digits against the SWAC schools...

I think I realize why, it is because teams that play them are able to take a ton of shots at the goal and yes several of them make it in (hence the large scores), but several of them get blocked and so it is probably due to the huge number of balls that come there way!
