I am glad we are finally getting this done. We were suppose to have a videoboard for the 2004 season but the Univ. President didn't want to advertise beer companies.

Only down size is that it looks like we'll have the smallest video screen in the SLC...but we'll still have by far the biggest/best band in the SLC, so I guess it works out.

From what I have read online UCA will have the largest video board in the SLC.

more on Turpin Stadium:

http://www.nsudemons.com/story.asp?ID=3197

NATCHITOCHES -- Northwestern State Athletics has unveiled plans for a new facility enhancement project to dramatically improve the appearance of all of it outdoor facilities.

The project, once completed in early 2008, will not only increase student-athletes’ and coaches’ pride in their facilities and improve the fan experience, but also serve as an excellent recruiting tool and improve the perception of the NSU athletic department locally, regionally, and even nationally...

Ya reckon they will upgrade visitors facilities at the football complex from a broom closet to a real locker room?

You got an extra million to donate? cause I know NSU doesn't have it just laying around.

Why don't yall show some hospitality and have your team sit behind the bleachers during half-time? Next year your Demon's will have a nice visitor's locker room when they visit Estes Stadium in Conway.

Well, like I said, but some people just refuse to believe it...if we had the money to make the visitor locker room better it probably would have been done a long time ago.

As far as Estes Stadium goes, I am willing to bet UCA is funded considerably higher than NSU...when every town in the state has a university it tends to dilute the funding.

SAU used to have a visitor's drsssing room that even the track team could not stand up in without fear of hitting thier head on rafters...I have no idea how guys in pads and cleats stood up....SLC really should have some minimum standards on these things.....

Thankfully they do. It is probably the only reason we are getting a new baseball stadium.

Oh, my friend, my friend    dem's fightin' words

P.S. Remember - when it comes to bands, bigger doesn't always mean better. It truly is a case of having the right tool for the job, rather than having a giant tool that you have no idea how to use

You're right, in some cases....but when it comes to the Demon Band they are as good as they are big. Trust me, they have the right tools and have HAD the right tools for quite a while.
