Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Director of Athletics Brian Teter announced the finalists for the softball and baseball head coaching positions. The baseball search has four finalists, three of which have direct ties to Texas, while the softball search has three candidates, all of which have coached in the South Central area of Texas.

The four baseball finalist include Scott Malone of UNLV, Tim Montez of Jacksonville, David Pierce of Rice and Todd Whitting of TCU. Three of the four coaches are currently serving as assistant coaches at their respective schools...

LAKE CHARLES, La. - Terry Burrows, who played and coached at McNeese State University and who had an 11 year professional career as a player, has been named the Cowboys new head baseball coach.

McNeese interim athletic director Tommy McClelland made the announcement of Burrows selection Thursday afternoon.

"We had 28 candidates ," McClelland said. "And, Terry was the one we wanted. He has the credentials, having played and coached on the collegiate level and having played professionally. He has a commitment to this area and to McNeese State."...
