I thought while we wait for the official release of our new video/score board we could take a tour of other video/score boards around the SLC:

So I guess Northwestern State sells beer at their games?

got me. I was told Nicholls has a bar on campus, and I know other universities have bars, or did have bars on campus across the country, but I could be wrong. But Northwestern St is getting a new videoboard before the start of the season as well, so I guess that one wont look the same in a couple of months.

True, but I couldn't find any previews of it on the web.

When I saw Nicholls stadium, I thought that was a view from the UCA practice field with all the tall pines and hedges!
You can almost see the homeside behind those hedges! Geez!
That is eeeeeriiieeee!

Nicholls videoboard is graphics only, it is not video capable.

I believe SFA is the only school with a full time staff person who does video production (creative - not just coaches video). Everybody else is student or outsources.

No, they don't sell beer at games...unfortunately. We might have better attendance and a more rowdy crowd.

Very nice, thanks for the work to together. Sounds liek Estes will be very competitive with the SLC in this regard. Looks like banks like their names on scoreboards...

I like the Texas State scoreboard..looks clean. SFA is good too. McNeese is one I could do without. McNeese wants you to look at the scoreboard instead of what's on the scoreboard. Too much free space between elements. :(

Word is we'll be getting a new video board for the 2008 season. We've already begun work on a parking garage and will soon begin work on a new press box/suite area that should also be ready by 2008. We're getting new lights for this year. A new weight room is in the works as well. Lots of upgrades going on at Southeastern Louisiana.
