But Gary thinks the SLC has not been what it has been in the past, this after McNeese's loss in the first round. Pretty interesting article really (it's just too bad you cant read the article in its full version) I always enjoy reading Gary's articles:

Eastern Washington took advantage of McNeese State's lack of Bryan Smith Saturday night.
But that shouldn't be shocking.
When you lose a player the caliber of Smith, Steven Whitehead or Jamie Leonard, it is bound to have an affect on the field.
What was amazing in retrospect is those injuries didn't take a toll sooner...
