Saw in the local newspaper here in Beaumont this morning that the Texas State Board of Regents will vote tomorrow on whether to accept the student fee proposal on Lamar Universitys bid to re-start football.

Understand several members of the board will be at the basketball game tonight.

Steve East and I went by their stadium, which, if you will recall, hasn't been used in some 15-16 years. There are people working on the press box now. The box, I understand, received considerable damage from one of the hurricanes. It was not a bad looking facility, but just needs some TLC.

Their field really looked good. It apparently has already been receiving some care.
