Not sure how this works because we'd have the same issue. You could potentially split up SFA/SHSU and San Marcos/UTSA among other rivalries as it seems there's an imbalance there...

BEAUMONT — Boy, they were hot last year. Sizzling hot. Keep-drawing-21 hot. Cheryl-Tiegs-in-the-swimsuit-issue hot.
Last season at Lamar University , the men’s and women’s basketball teams fared better than they had in decades. The men won a share of the Southland Conference title for the first time in 24 years, and the women posted a winning record for the first time in 16 seasons.
Heck, that was three or four recessions ago...
