Unless I didn't navigate their fanboard correctly there is basically no conversations on their board about today's playoff game with Villanova. Last post two days ago.

Maybe they're on the road enjoying the festivities instead of spending time posting on a message board...

Lord I hope not, seeing as to how they are playing at SFA.

Getting their heads handed to them at home by a 3rd or 4th place team.

By 30 points with time still left. When is the last time an SLC team got by their first playoff game?

2005, Texas State beat Georgia Southern and Cal Poly before losing to UNI.

Nicholls State also made the playoffs that year, but got beat by Furman in the opening round.

2004 - Sam Houston State beat Western Kentucky and Eastern Washington, then lost to Montana.

2002- McNeese State beat Montana and Villanova, then lost to WKU in the championship game.

I got my money on North Dakota State. That's a mean bunch of corn fed
guys.

SFA won a game last year before losing in the 2nd round (to Montana I think).

Yeah, they beat Eastern Washington 44-33 before having the pleasure of taking a 51-0 beatdown to Montana.

It's nice making the playoffs and all, but that's a pretty rough way to go out the last two years.

To lose by 51 and 30 for consecutive years somewhat indicates that maybe the SLC is lacking in talent on a nationwide basis. According to other posts, singular representation from the conference for the last five years and only one win. Looks like we got some ground to make up to get competitive.

No doubt about it. I don't think the Southland is where it needs to be right
now. We are better than a lot of conferences, but a little behind a few.

I didn't keep up with the SFA-NOVA game so I had no idea what happened.
according to the SFA fan site, the Lumberjacks were up 21-7 in the first qtr. and
had a chance maybe to go up 28-7 but they muffed a punt and then they just
fell completely apart. To be up 21-7 and then lose 51-21 is a major meltdown.
Is nova that good or did SFA just self-destruct?
