I just saw that. That's fantastic. If you haven't read Oren's story, I 'll try and find it. He is an unbelievable guy. Walked on as an OL and had a serious lung illness his first year and lost tons of weight. HE slept on other players' sofas while getting back in shape and Roberts put him on scholarship. He got a sixth year of eligibility and came back despite having pretty good job offers. Injured most of last year, he is a great guy. He also was a counselor at Boys State this year for my brother.

I'll cross my fingers for the rest of the guys from ASU and UCA.

I was already wrong. I figured Oren would be a priority FA as well as Ford and Fairooz because FBs aren't utilized as much these days.

We'll hope I am wrong for the second time in my life.

I also forgot to mention that Oren is the son of a preacher and from a big family and I believe he got his masters or will finish it soon.

I alos think he was the 3rd FB taken. 10 years ago he would have been a first day pick.

Yeah Jacob! I knew after his interview with Tennessee last week that they were high on him..then the 6 rounds went by and I started to get nervous...now it's our other Bear brothers who are about to get drafted! Go Fairooz, jones and all the others!

JACOB DID IT! I'm so happy for this guy. He gets to go home and make a lot of money playing football, what a life to have. It couldn't happen to a more deserving person.

Man, I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the activity today. Watching ESPN about the draft, watching the car race (and waiting for the big one), listening to the baseball game, and trying to keep up with you guys. To borrow a phrase from a well loved coach, it just messes me up! :lol:

Any word on Fairooz? I thought for sure if he didn't get drafted he would sign as a FA soon after the draft was over...

hadn't heard anything as of yet, but I'm sure stuff is till going on all over the place today with all kinds of players.

Didn't find anything about Fairooz and the 49ers by googling, not that I'm saying you're wrong.

I did see through a couple different clicks that Fairooz has the same agent/agency as Landon does.
