Hmm....

On the one hand, it's NON-STOP COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOR 11 (or more) WEEKS!

On the other hand, with losing that bye week and having to play 11 weeks in a row, I feel a little bad for the players and coaches. Everyone needs a rest and time to heal at some point.

I'd say you would never see I-A do this, but that's really comparing apples to oranges.

Yeah, but those FBS games go on and on and on and on and you still don't know who is the REAL national champion because someone gets left out or...blah blah blah...playoffs work...that's all...we will now return you to your normally scheduled program.... :shock:

Which is why I say it's comparing apples to oranges. FBS wouldn't do this because, under their current system, there's no incentive or reason to.

Once the season starts I suspect you will see no tackling and contact drills. Just shells and shoulder pads. Freshman will definitely have to elevate their game much quicker.
