Texas really won the game when McCormick threw the ball into right field and allowed runs 3 and 4 to come in. The 4-1 lead was probably going to be enough, but when they put 5 on the board, it was over.

Baylor just doesn't have the bats to score runs like that. Especially when their 3-4-5 hitters hit as badly as they did. I'm not sure how they finished, but at one point they were 0-9.

While our resident TX fan is happy, our resident Vol fan can't be...
Two games and Tennessee is headed back to the Knox.

Nebraska has a long way to go to get there. As a team with one loss already, they have some work to do.

I still like Florida's chances at 2-0. And don't rule out Baylor, they've had your # all year until the last game.

Thats true I just don't think they have it in them, I mean after seeing them play against OSU last night they just didn't look like the same Baylor that played during the season.

But like I have said time and time again....Anyone can win on any given day!

The Baylor that made the comeback in the last three innings after being down 7-0 to win 8-7 is a team Texas needs to be worried about!

I'd like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to Paul Witt from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His single and run in the 7th helped start the comeback. His potential double-play grounder in the bottom of the 9th (that he beat out at first) scored the game tying and winning runs. Amazing game!

A little luck and some questionable Tulane coaching puts the Bears up against Texas.... again. :)

Folks, that was the greatest day in Omaha History today. Bar None. Those 2 games are the epitome of baseball (minus the ping). I thought that no game could top the Arizona St-Nebraska game, but Baylor-Tulane tried, and almost, but the Arizona St - Nebraska game was the greatest college game I've ever seen on tv or been to in person.

Dang it, why do SOME of us have to work?!?

I saw the highlights and Nebraska/ASU was pretty dang impressive. Did you happen to notice that the score going into the bottom of the 9th was the same in both games? 7-5.

If the Baylor game had gone into extra innings and ended that way, it might have been better than the Neb. game. I knew Paul Witt from PB, so I have been pulling for them all year. It was awesome for him to be involved! I wish there was another game tonight.

that's cool about Witt, good for him!

But I don't think there was any way the Tulane-BU game was going to top the ASU-Nebraska game, cuz it was relatively close throughout and the circumstances in the 9th inning alone were enough to set that game apart. BU had a great comeback, but I didnt start watching that game until the 8th after TU jumped on BU 7-0, I couldnt quit watching the ASU-N game all day.

Yeah, it was a good game.
You really can't argue with a team that can't lose no matter what doesn't go their way.
I am a hater of all things Texas, so it didn't turn out the way I had hoped.
In spite of all that longhorn disdain, I was kinda happy for the hurt home run hitter.
