Carmona is not alone...Tejada missed a straight on FG in OT as LSU tops Hogs by 3....

On ther other hand, Mizzou kicker kicks FG as time expires to beat Kansas 41-39....was 24 of 25 on year....

Such is the life of place kickers....

Tejada's was from the right hash, and that doesn't equal our three misses/blocks/bad snaps/whatever.

North Dakota's specialty is blocked kicks. They're kind of like the Virginia Tech of small schools. We watched the tape for almost an hour after the game. As for the 3 kicks, 2 were blocked, and the 3rd (middle one that went right) was tipped. We had 2 new guys on the line (one to replace Lane Friewald, who had to have surgery), and the Sioux loaded up in that area to break through. Of course Eddy is beating himself up pretty bad about it, but it wasn't his fault. Adam Vinatieri can't hit one if he doesn't have the blocking.

Eddie cannot win games by himself.......even as fine a kicker as he has proven over again....FGs and PATs only look like gimmes....you have a split second to do it right or it is disaster.....I noticed we moved some of our guys around after the first block but still could not stop the rush.....

Got to block better but I will take Eddie anyday as our kicker......I hope he does not let this one game tarnish his view of a great year kicking.....
