Charlie Strong. The man is good (and have you seen how impeccably shiny his head is?). I'm surprised he didn't get one of the big jobs in the last couple of years. I hope he gets the Louisville job.

Good for him. He deserves his shot and has for a while.
I hope he gets a good offensive guy in there to help out.
Of course, Louisville though Kragthorpe was going to be that guy too...

Louisville is on the verge of hiring Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong as its next coach.

The school has called a meeting of the personnel committee of the Louisville Athletic Association Board of Directors for Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET, where it is expected that the board will be asked to approve the hiring of Strong, a source close to the search said Tuesday.

Strong interviewed with Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich on Sunday in Gainesville. He is expected to be introduced in Louisville on Wednesday.

Louisville is seeking to replace Steve Kragthorpe, who was fired after three disappointing seasons.

He was also the runner-up for the Broyles Award that was handed out today. He was the front runner for the award going into the Alabama game and then Florida got beat. I had the chance to talk with him last night and he is a really nice guy and still loves UCA! He talked about UCA highly in our conversation

I am very happy for Charlie Strong. He was a great athlete at UCA, even though he was here before my time. He has been a great defensive coordinator for a while. Best wishes to Coach Strong at Louisville.
