16th seed play-in game vs. Winthrop, and then vs. Duke if they win.

Technically, it's called the Opening Round game – meaning that yes, they are in the Big Dance. It's a field of 65.

Good try, though.

65th team in the play-in game....how confusing can that get?

They are in a spot hundreds of other teams can't be in, but somehow lie on the edge of the bracket, not quite in that field of 64, yet it's a field of 65, so they're in. Hmmm..

6 one way, half a dozen of another.

It's in anyway you look at it, as I imagine if UCA was in that situation then it would be a little more clear.

That incorrect statement is why the NCAA has specifically begun referring to the game as the opening round game - which is what Bearly tried explaining before.

But whatever I guess.

UAPB is in. Simple as that, and congrats to them as well! They may be an in-state program, but for them to play their first 11 on the road against major schools with several in the NCAA Tournament, and to rebound they way they did to win their conference, good for them!

Also, (and I may catch a little flack since CMD could go head-to-head in recruiting with them every now and then) a major congratulations to UCA Hall of Famer Joe Foley and his UALR Trojans, who received an at-large bid into the NCAA Women's Tournament yesterday. They play Sunday in Norman, OK, vs. Georgia Tech.

UAPB beat Winthrop. They play Duke next. Probably gonna be an ugly game, but congrats to them.

Do not be surprised if UALR beat Ga Tech in women's tourney...Trojans shoot 3s a little better and have a strong + in TOs....GTU is pretty good rebounding team... both shoot FTs well....it woldl be an upset but not out of the question...if they get past GTU then likely to face OU next...

Yea, UALR would be a tough first round draw and Josh I too would love for us to be there next season.
