They tip off against Georgia Tech at 6:15 on Sunday from Norman, Oklahoma....If they win, Oklahoma is the next opponent.

Headed up there tomorrow to cover the game and from I'm understanding...they currently have a blizzard going on up there. Should have 4 to 6 inches of snow by tonight!

UALR handled Georgia Tech rather easily.

Oklahoma is beating up South Dakota St. right now.

Lamar is taking it on the chin from West Virginia. Trailing 12 - 1..

Congrats to the Lady Trojans and UCA Hall of Famer Head Coach Joe Foley. Great win for them. Great win overall for Arkansas Basketball!

Man tonight's game was awesome...UALR brought 200-300 people...OU fans even came for the start of the game and cheered for UALR.

I saw OU play tonight and they are going to be REALLY tough.

FWIW, myself, my wife and my dog have noticed that practically all the women's top seeds are getting to play on their home courts - or real close to them. I assume this is for attendance purposes but it does seem there is some unfairness in this. I guess that is why there is less "upsets" in the women's tourney.

Good article in Wall Street Journal today about Cornell playing 55 miles from home and in an arena they play in each year at least once. Also noted how many times Duke gets to play within 100 miles of home. Meanwhile, Mizzou has to go to Buffalo and Ok State and Georgia women go to west coast. The lords at the NCAA know all.

OU prevails 60-44 over UALR...Trojans accounted themselves well on OU's home court....they seemed to just be out of sync on shooting 3s....they must have had 5 airballs in last quarter with little pressure from defense...just looked snake bit....got to within 8 late but could not hit another shot when it really when they needed....Joe Foley got lots of good publicity....congarts to UALR for a great season....I still would love to see a pre-season tourney at Alltel with UCA, UALR, ASU and UAPB women next fall....central Arkansas can be the mecca for women's basketball in Arkansas....

The game tonight was flat out overwhelming for almost everyone. They said there was 6,305 people at the game but it sounded like there was 10,000 people in the arena. At times, you couldn't hear the person next you talk.

I thought the lady trojans did a heck of a job on defense to keep the score within 10 most of the game despite going 0-16 from three.

It was fun to cover the NCAA tourny, but it will be even sweetier when UCA is playing on that national stage.

I'd be kinda disappointed in the crowd if I was OU, as big of a deal as it seems it was. When the Sugar Bears played OU, they announced 10,707, for that game on a random December night 2 seasons ago. Granted, it was Native American Appreciation Night aimed around Jenna Plumley, who at the time was an Oklahoma hero of sorts in the state, but it was definetly full the night we played OU in the Noble Center.
Good for UALR to get that taste of success in the postseason. I'm looking forward, even more, to the day that the Sugar Bears are in the big arena in the postseason now.

I thought the Trojans and Sooners played poorly last night. Great season for Joe Foley and his players.

It's kinda funny that you mention that because Sherri Coale called out all the fans in the press conference after the their wins on Sunday and then again on Tuesday
