Congrats to the Trojans. Both of their teams won the Sun Belt tourney today.

Pretty awesome ending to the men's game last night.
They got quite a bit of free nationwide publicity too during and after the game.

Yeah, big congrats to them. I'm a huge fan of the mid-major school 30 miles away doing awesome. That helps us tremendously.

Haha. I thought the same thing.
Last night I immediately went to their website to see how many of those guys were seniors to see how many spots they also need to fill. I think they had five. Not good.

Regardless, the ending was awesome and they got tons of pub. Even if it's not good for us.

Congrats to my dad's Alma Mater! I use to be a UALR fan and go to a lot of their games as a kid.

Free throws and a couple clutch shots at the end made for a heck of an ending. I hope they do well.

UALR winning is a double edged sword for UCA. Yeah, it might hurt recruiting slightly. The good news is that this probably keeps Shields around for a while. =D>

They are going to struggle next year. Honestly, they weren't very good this year but they got hot at the right time, got some timely shots and a lot of breaks in the tournament the way it played out. That's what makes conference tournaments fun.

Still think it would do wonders for basketball in Arkansas to have a men's and women's preseason tourney with ASU, UALR, UAPB and UCA....the old AIC was great basketball competition and this would be also....

UALR women drew UWGB 32-1. Pretty impressive record with win over Minnesota and lopsided victories over Wisconsin and Penn St. Their only loss was to in state Marquette on the road.

They totally imploded. Then when their two key offensive cogs that the ball works through fouled out, they had no shot in overtime.
