I thought arrogance was a requirement to play sports in the pros?

AP is anything but arrogant....he does get really ticked off when pitchers throw at him or his teammates...such as last night In Arizona when Ian Kennedy hit or nearly hit about a half dozen batters with poor control. He is almost loved in St Lou as much as Stan the Man (no one will ever be more loved there....true Cards fans in STL still talk abot the Deans, Slaughter, Marty Marion, Red, Flood, Gibbie, Boyer, Brock, Whitey, Willie, Ozzie et al like they are next door neighbors...the girls are every bit as good at this as the guys..I believe public schools in STL have a required semester in Cardinal history and legends).

The contract thing for me itself is not arrogant. It's when you demand the biggest contract offer ever and then hit .143. I love Pujols as a hitter, and wish that he would pick it up, and oh yea Cardinal fans think that he is the best thing since ice cream, and up to this year I would have had to agreed with them. His heart just hasn't been in it.

Cards getting better. We went Thursday, Pujols and Holliday both homered and Lohse had a 2 hit shutout. My family and I had a blast.
