It looks like ASU has lost their #1 QB for the season to an ACL injury.

Butterfield is their #2 behind Aplin. But still, I think they were planning for a 2 WB system.

Ohh, I thought he was their #1.

Butterfield was indeed #2 as he was last year and this is his second season ending injury in 3 years. Someone put out an article that it was going to be a two QB system and that wasn't the case, at least not in the sense that we all think of a 2 QB "system". Butterfield played a series or two a game most games last year and came in for a few plays other times but it wasn't going to be a system where they alternated plays or series.

It leaves ASU with a 3000 yard passer and a guy that can run as well but we are thin behind him with three two freshmen competing for the backup spot.

Stephen Hogan is probably #2. He was the QB for Greenwood's championship team last season but is expected to eventually play WR.

Darion Griswold is #3. He is the big 6'5"/240 pound kid from Dumas who is also going to play basketball. He will ultimately probably be a TE.

Zach Davis is #4. He is the all time leader in Arkansas HS football passing yards out of Harrisburg. He walked on and is probably 5'10" (hence his walkon status).

I expect to see more "Wild Wolf" formations this year, especially if anything happens to Aplin.

Hate to hear that about Phillip. Very talented QB. But Aplin was the man last
year if I remember correctly.
