No doubt...It has always baffled me why head coaches and now in the
University of Montana's case the athletic director assume the blame for
the actions of adolescents who are not under their direct supervision at
the time of the so-called incident. They cannot possibly be responsible for
the actions of one of probably 100 student/athletes in their charge. I have
one son who is 20 years of age and it is all I can do to keep up with what
he is doing. It is a shame this happened to these mentors...and it's a sad
day for the University of Montana. Best of luck to the Griz.

The drama continues....

Quote:
(Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department unveiled a broad probe on Tuesday into complaints that authorities were failing to aggressively investigate sexual assault reports in Missoula, Montana, citing more than 80 reported rapes there during the past three years.

80 REPORTED rapes in 3 years...imagine the number not reported because of the atmosphere that nothing is done about them.... Time to clean house in Missoula!

unfortunately this happens in droves on college campuses and colleges find ways to hide the numbers. So between not being reported and officials finding ways so it is under reported... you dont get a feel for the issues at a school until something likethis happens.

Well, if this happened on campus or at university events, that may be true. However, when off campus in private that is hardly the school's fault and may not be something the school can do much to prevent. Not being privy to the investigation reports, it is very hard to tell if this is a UM issue, a Missoula issue or both. Clearly something was going on at UM for the AD to be let go but that may be tangential. Think about a head football coach and a motorcycle. Time will tell.
