Will cost several hundred thousand dollars plus about 26 points on strength of schedule...……….must be thinking they will still need a 6th D1 win even in three more seasons...….

I was thinking if the Bowl Championship committee looks at their SOS then they are SCREWED even if they have a good year. But maybe they already know that and don't care. I mean playing in the SEC west is tough enough. Lose that and you virtually no chance to make it to the BIG 4. Schedule two FCS or one REALLY REALLY weak FCS and decent FBS, you might get a decent bowl game...but NOT the championship playoffs for sure.

But don't worry, they'll hype the program as being NATTY eligible even with that foreknowledge.......and their fans will fall for it just like they do every year.

I can’t figure this one out...maybe just a political move by their athletic director
to slow the rhetoric from the stAte fans who desperately want this game it seems.

As far as I’m concerned I personally don’t care if the Bears play them or not. It
in no way define what the UCA PROGRAM is about. There are plenty of FBS programs
willing to play UCA.

As for the hog fans I’m not sure that a big majority are in favor of this game...
Sure it’s an easy D1 win to get bowl eligible and keep the donations pouring in,
but I think some of their more intelligent fans know they have bigger issues to
face like a 13-43 SEC record over the past 7 years.

UAPB is the winner in this one for sure...they will collect their biggest paycheck
ever for their program. Don’t forget South Dakota State beat them 90-6 last
season.

One Thing for sure...THE GOLDEN LION BAND will be show worth watching...
